Kate's Yoga Therapy classes consist of a healing flow-based yoga practice that brings the body into back balance and improves overall health. Learn to build a sustainable practice for your body and discover techniques to work around your ailments. Each class focuses on a particular area of the body which we will cultivate mindfulness around and pave the way for deep healing to occur. Good for people working with injuries, those wanting to gain more mobility, and those looking to dive deeper into their own yoga practice.
Sept. 16: Healthy Spine
A strong and flexible spine is the key to bringing health to the whole body. In this class we will restore spinal alignment, build core strength to support lower back & develop safe practices to reduce lower back pain.
Oct. 14: Happy Hips
In this class, we will focus on increasing hip mobility and deepening hip openers. By setting up correct alignment to protect surrounding joints & hold long hip openers, we will begin to remove discomfort in hips. By bringing health to the hips, we bring stability and balance to the whole body.
Nov. 11: Wrist Relief
Experience a wrist-safe Vinyasa flow that actually heals your wrists instead of causing discomfort. In this class we will concentrate on stretching and strengthening the wrists, meanwhile relieving wrist pain associated with overuse in the modern world. We will build strength in surrounding muscles & work on correct alignment of the hands so that you can safely practice any flow class without pain. We will ever practice some wrist-free arm balances and core building poses!
