A connection to the breath and the bandhas are considered an integral part of every yoga practice. Bandha is a sanskrit term commonly translated to mean “lock.” This workshop is designed to help the practitioner understand the bandhas. How to engage them physically, what their energetic function is and how to utilize them in your yoga practice. If you can access bandhas, your practice will come from the inside out and be more energetic in nature as well as helping you cultivate more functional support and ease in your practice. As the bandhas are also useful tools for many breathing exercise, or pranayamas, we will also spend time introducing and practicing various breathing techniques designed to benefit a pracitioner.
