Are you new (or new-ish) to yoga? Are you looking to fulfill a New Year’s resolution? Whatever it is that brings you to your mat in 2020, we welcome you! Join July Johnson in this 6-week introductory class. This series is designed for beginners (those brand new to the practice as well as those who have been practicing yoga, but desire dedicated time on the foundational shapes, poses and alignment principles). Over the course of 6 weeks we will cover Sun Salutations, standing poses, balancing, forward and back bending, twisting and much more as the class grows and evolves. At the end of the 6 weeks, students will feel ready to join a Steady or Fiery flow class with confidence in their knowledge of poses, safe alignment principles and muscle memory.
Participants are requested to sign up for the full 6-week session as this class will expand and build on the foundations from week to week.
Class meets for 6 consecutive Wednesdays starting January 8, 7:45-8:45 PM. Final class meeting on Wednesday February 12.
