Join us for an Ecstatic Dance Journey with music performance by DJ Rev Hooman + Opening Cacao Ceremony featuring sacred sipping cacao hosted by Melanie Amethyst Paloma. Ecstatic Dance is a DJ led dance experience paired with uplifting and groovilicious music of many genres including funk, disco house, world, and more.
Unlike nightclubs, ecstatic dance is an opportunity to dance, release and reach an ecstatic state without substances. Subsequently, a beautiful community is created during these events where there is a safe container for individuals to move and dance in any way their bodies desire, without restrictions or judgements and connect with like-minded new friends.
The evening will begin with an intimate cacao ceremony to release any residual stress of the day, drop in to our bodies, set intentions, and collectively create a beautiful welcoming container for the amazingness about to be created! Yoga instructor Kate Monzo will help us drop into movement with an optional 15-20 minute yoga and movement practice to kick off the dancing. DJ and performer Rev Hooman will take us on a bad-ass bassy dance journey. Tea will be offered in the cozy lounge during the event for those moments when you need a break or want to connect with new friends.
We are honored to offer the purest sipping cacao from a native women's collective in Guatemala which cultivates a cacao bean that has been in their Mayan family for many generations. Cacao and it's most potent ingredient theobromine, offer an opportunity to boost energy, open the heart, uplift the mind and reach a slightly elevated state.
Come as you ARE and let’s dance the night away!
