Join Brittany in a two hour workshop that will guide you through a low intensity Aerial Yoga Play prenatal class that helps build strength in the arms and legs as well as relieves pain, tension and discomfort caused by pregnancy.
The class will focus on movements that are safe for the second and third trimesters. The workshop is two hours which gives you the ability to take your time to stretch, build muscle and relax into a state of no gravity. Allowing for your tired feet and back pain to release and feel the bliss of self care before your beautiful being comes to join you in this world.
The AYRx Swing can take weight off of our bodies and allows us to build strength and to even go into inversions safely while pregnant. In this workshop this super soft swing will be used to create a sense of floating...the ultimate goal while pregnant. Let’s hear your feet and ankles rejoice!
If you have been practicing yoga consistently and you are in your first trimester, please feel free to try the workshop. However, we recommend to take it slow. The motion of the swing can increase your nausea and there are several positions that are not safe for the first trimester, but we can guide you through what is safe for you and your baby. Each participant is asked to check in with their own body and only do what feels right for them.
Brittany is a mother of two young boys (trying for her third) and has created this workshop based from her Aerial Yoga Play training, her experience of aerial arts, and her own experience of being pregnant and practicing yoga and other physical training modalities. She is very excited to have created a workshop that allows for comfort and also helps you build strength and endurance for your labor.
