Suspended Somatics Therapy - Aerial Yoga Workshop with Jen Healy

  • Metta Yoga Corte Madera 8 Tamalpais Drive Corte Madera, CA, 94925 United States (map)

Suspended Somatics Therapy: Fascia, Fluidity & Alignment

Join Jen Healy, founder of Aerial Yoga Play, AYRx Therapeutix, and Suspended Somatics Therapy, for an immersive two-hour exploration of how suspension, movement, and the living matrix of connective tissue can guide us toward deeper healing, transformation, and body alignment.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Be introduced to the fascia and connective tissue as a living, responsive matrix — not merely passive “glue” but a medium for force transmission, hydration, and adaptability

  • Experience supported suspended movements (w/ swing) designed to decompress, mobilize, and invite multi-dimensional articulation of the body (a central method in the Suspended Somatics approach)

  • Explore spiral, fluid, and non-linear dynamics, integrating tension, space, and micro-movement to re-wire habitual holding patterns

  • Focus on key “hubs” — such as the neck/shoulders, hips/back, and fluid congestion zones (groin, underarms, torso) — to cue lymphatic flow, interstitial fluid exchange, and circulation

  • Move into a restorative cocoon or integration phase, allowing the nervous system and tissues to assimilate the shifts with guided meditation

  • Engage in reflective dialogue, Q&A, and somatic awareness practices that connect the experience on the swing into daily embodiment

Who It’s For:

All levels of yogi’s, bodyworkers, therapists, movement teachers, and curious explorers of embodiment. No prior aerial or somatic training is required — just a willingness to play, sense, experience, and open.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Better connectivity, elasticity, and responsiveness in fascia and connective networks

  • Greater capacity to relieve chronic tension, stiffness, or pain

  • Insights into injury prevention by inviting strength, tissue adaptability, and “play”

  • Tools for stress relief, nervous system regulation, and embodied presence

  • Pathways to bridge somatic insight into everyday movement

Logistics & Preparation:

Participants should wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing (leggings, fitted tops) and be able to move undisturbed for the session. All equipment (swing + mats) will be provided. A short health intake or screening may be required to ensure safety and modifications.

COST: $75 (10% off for Metta Yoga members applies automatically at checkout)

Jen Healy is the creator and guiding force behind Suspended Somatics Therapy, a modality that fuses somatic inquiry, fascial science, quantum physics, and aerial yoga suspension to heal, awaken, and transform the connective tissue network of the energetic body. Her work is rooted in the understanding energy and the interface with the fascia as a living, hydrated matrix — capable of memory, adaptation, and resonance with the nervous system.

She is also the creator of the signature AYRx Yoga Swing, and founder of Aerial Yoga Play & Aerial Yoga Rx (AYRx), drawing from her deep exploration of aerial movement, yoga practices, therapeutic suspension, and quantum-informed embodiment practices.  Through her trainings, retreats, and online offerings, she teaches how to safely suspend the body, open the spine, and catalyze fluid movement with greater ease and deeper healing.
