metta mama events and workshops
This class is for every mom, from 6 weeks postnatal all the way through the childrearing years. Whether you’re carrying a newborn or juggling teenagers, Metta Mama Flow meets you where you are. We will focus on building core strength, toning the pelvic floor, strengthening glutes, opening the front body, and releasing tension. We will also address common aches like low back discomfort, hip tension, and tight shoulders that come from motherhood and modern life.
Metta Mama Flow balances strength and softness, with alignment cues and safe modifications to meet you where you are in your body. We will lean into our roles as mothers, building physical strength to support the responsibilities of our lives, while also cultivating mental resilience. Through breathwork, asana, and mindset practices, we will cultivate strength and invite in the softening necessary to create a more balanced central nervous system response, on and off the mat. This class is about building strength, restoring, and honoring yourself; your body, your mind, and your mama heart.
Yoga helps children to manage emotions and provides opportunities to explore fun physical movement, develop body awareness, coordination, and of course, to play! We will create space to connect through yoga poses, games, storytelling and more. Parents welcome to stay and watch or drop off.
Could your teen or pre-teen (geared for ages 10-14) benefit from exercise, flexibility, body awareness, and mindfulness?
Guided by Tiana, students will experience the amazing benefits of yoga for body, mind, and soul in a lighthearted environment. Classes will include breathing exercises, discussion of topics such as self-confidence and body positivity, yoga flow, mindfulness, and meditation.
Perimenopause and menopause bring a series of complex, often overlooked changes that can deeply affect both mental and physical well-being. As hormones fluctuate, so too can mood, energy, sleep, cognition, and overall wellness. But with the right support and understanding, this phase can also be a time of reconnection and empowerment.
Join us for an insightful panel where we will explore the full spectrum of changes during this journey and how a holistic, integrative approach can help restore equilibrium.
In this evening, slower prenatal yoga class, you will create space mentally, physically and spiritually, and feel supported in community with other expecting mamas. You will take time to breathe, open your body for hip and low back tension relief, nourish your nervous system, and embrace your changing body. Our goal is that every expecting mama will leave class with a deeper understanding of her pregnancy and upcoming labor and birth. Each class will include breathwork, mindfulness meditation, and gentle yoga sequences.
