-
Metta Mama is a yoga studio and community created to support women through every stage of the journey into motherhood from fertility and pregnancy to postpartum, parenting, and beyond. Rooted in compassion, science informed practices, and nervous system support, Metta Mama offers a safe, welcoming space where women can slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and feel truly supported.
We offer a wide range of classes including fertility yoga, prenatal yoga, labor prep yoga, postnatal yoga, baby wearing fitness, mom and tots yoga, family yoga, kids yoga, and teen yoga. Each class is intentionally designed to support the changing physical needs of the body by building strength, stability, mobility, and resilience while also regulating the nervous system to reduce stress and promote healing. At Metta Mama, we understand that motherhood is not only a physical experience, but a deeply mental and emotional one. Our practices help calm the mind, ease anxiety, build confidence, and cultivate trust in your body’s innate wisdom. By supporting nervous system regulation, we help shift the body out of fight or flight and into a state where connection, growth, and healing can occur.
Beyond classes, Metta Mama offers workshops, events, and panel discussions that create space for education, honest conversation, and shared experience. We believe community is essential because no one is meant to navigate motherhood alone. Here, women are seen, heard, and supported at every stage of their female journey.
Metta Mama is more than a studio. It is a place to feel grounded, empowered, and deeply connected to yourself and to others.

Led by Michelle Wing from IYK®, this class is designed for parents and kids to practice yoga together, creating lasting memories while fostering connection, flexibility, and strength. This class offers poses and activities for all ages, with plenty of opportunities for laughter and bonding.
Each session will also support a great cause, making your practice even more meaningful. Come stretch, play, and give back as a family!
Are you looking for an experiential childbirth education class? Come learn and refresh your understanding about what it means to move through the dance of labor and birth with your support person - spouse, partner, friend, or family member.
Gather with us for an afternoon of movement, ritual, and connection. Step into a space created intentionally for women, to move differently, breathe deeper, and reconnect with parts of yourself that may feel tucked away in the pace of everyday life.
Goddess Yoga is a homecoming for women. With influences from belly dance, hula, sensual movement and vinyasa, this practice is circular, playful, primal & focuses on opening the hips, heart, & throat. You’ll begin with rituals: gathering in a circle, anointing with oils, and pulling cards.
CircleMoms provides an in-person community for moms in the fourth trimester. CircleMoms brings mothers 0-3 months postpartum together for a 6 week series that discusses topics ranging from birth stories, feeding and sleep, to pelvic floor health and pediatric development.
This 8-week Fertility Yoga Series is a gentle, nervous system-informed program designed to support conception, pregnancy, and overall reproductive health. Classes focus on creating safety in the body through fertility-supportive yoga, breathwork, and deep rest, helping the nervous system shift out of chronic stress and into a state that supports hormonal balance, immune function, and healing. Practices are thoughtfully adapted for all fertility journeys, including IVF, IUI, and other assisted reproductive treatments. This series also offers a supportive community space to feel seen, grounded, and less alone.
Sign up your kid for a 9- Week Tween Aerial Yoga Series, with Tiana Baumsteiger!
April 16th - June 11th 4-4:45pm at Metta Yoga Corte Madera
This 9-week Aerial Yoga series is designed just for tweens who are ready to lift off the mat and explore yoga in a whole new way. Using soft aerial hammocks, students will stretch, strengthen, invert, and float through the air - all while building confidence, body awareness, emotional regulation, and a deep sense of inner calm.
Starting April 16th, join us for a Neuroscience Pregnancy Circle!
The Nurture Neuroscience Circle is a pregnancy circle that blends the latest neuroscience with intuitive, relational practices and the support of a community of mothers-to-be. It’s designed for anyone at any stage of pregnancy—from newly pregnant through those due in June and beyond—whether this is your first baby or you are an experienced mother.
We recommend completing childbirth education by about 36 weeks of pregnancy so you have time to absorb the information, practice techniques, and enter labor feeling prepared and confident. Many families find taking a class between 28–34 weeks ideal.
This one-day immersive workshop is designed for families who want thorough, practical preparation without committing to a multi-week series. In a supportive and relaxed environment, we guide you through the entire birth process from early labor through the first hours after your baby arrives.
Rather than overwhelming you with rigid rules, this class focuses on helping you understand what is happening in your body, what your options are, and how to make decisions that feel right for your family. We combine evidence-based education with real-life experience so you leave feeling capable — not fearful — about birth.
Join Jonathan Pofsky for the Mindful Dads Workshop!
Modern dads often feel stressed and seek deeper connections amidst their busy lives. If you’re looking to take a dad time-out and become more present with your family, this workshop is for you.
You’ll explore mindfulness techniques to cultivate calmness, learn effective communication tools, and build a supportive community with fellow dads.
Yoga is an excellent way to prepare the mind, body and spirit for the many transitions of pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. In this popular workshop with Perinatal Teacher and Trainer Jane Austin, you and your partner will :
Learn techniques for breath awareness, massage and partner poses, which can help strengthen and relax your body, and soothe your mind during the birth process.
Connect more deeply to yourself, your partner and your baby.
We will also explore visualization and relaxation techniques that can further assist you during childbirth.
A productive labor begins when your body feels safe. When you feel supported, grounded, and regulated, your nervous system can shift out of fight-or-flight and into the parasympathetic state where labor hormones flow more efficiently. This sense of safety allows the body to soften, the pelvis to open, and contractions to work with you rather than against you.
This workshop is designed to help you feel at home in your body, understand what is happening physiologically, and learn how to regulate your nervous system so labor can unfold with more ease, confidence, and trust. You will be empowered to make your labor and delivery an experience that aligns with your values, your body, and your vision. You’ll learn how to recognize and respond to the signals your body sends to your brain, strengthening your connection to intuition and your body’s innate intelligence so you can make informed, embodied choices during labor.
