Yoga for Healing is a gentle, nervous-system–based class designed to support the body’s natural capacity to heal.

This class is for everyone - those healing from trauma, chronic stress, back pain, disease, cancer, injury, or simply the cumulative effects of life.

Rooted in evidence-based practices, this class uses mindful movement, breath awareness, and intentional pauses to support nervous system regulation while also building strength and stability in the body. Research shows that yoga can decrease pain, improve sleep, reduce inflammation, support immune and lymphatic function, and improve overall resilience and quality of life during and after illness or prolonged stress.

The practice is alignment-based rather than vinyasa-based, with poses held long enough to develop body awareness, muscular engagement, and confidence. There is a strong emphasis on creating a supportive foundation, strengthening the core, glutes, and upper back to support posture, spinal health, and sustainable movement patterns that aid healing.

Movement is intentional, accessible, and encouraged to feel fluid and responsive rather than forced. Props are generously used—blocks, bolsters, blankets, and chairs—to provide support, choice, and adaptability, allowing each student to meet the practice in a way that feels safe and empowering.

This class is an invitation to slow down so your body can feel safe enough to rest, repair, and heal. By creating space for the nervous system to settle, you are able to reconnect with your inner resilience and innate capacity for healing. Whether your healing is physical, emotional, or energetic, Yoga for Healing offers a compassionate, steady practice to help you feel grounded, supported, and whole.
