Join Michelle Bouvier at Metta for a training that expands traditional anatomical knowledge through contemporary research in biotensegrity, fascia science, and nervous system integration. You'll leave with practical tools for teaching—and a body that moves with new freedom.

In this training, you’ll learn how to offer creative adaptations and variations for common injuries, including patterns shaped by modern life, while making practice safe, welcoming, and accessible for all bodies.

You’ll also explore how to teach alignment as an internal experience of support, ease, and integration through joint congruence and fasciategrity.

What you’ll learn:

Weekend 1: Evolutionary Anatomy (possibly open as a stand alone workshop)

  • Fascia: composition, properties, types & how connective tissue creates our living architecture

  • Neuromyofascia: the BodyMind meshwork & what it means for embodied practice

  • Biotensegrity: the updated model of biomechanics in the round

  • Interoception: Empowering agency & safety through somatic cueing

  • Moving from correction to connection: alignment as internal experience of force distribution & coherence, rather than external shape

  • Less force, more Flow: How to guide (yourself or others) without "policing" rigid outer shapes; move with more ease, grace, wonder & wisdom.

Weekend 2: Embodied Alignment

  • Recognize patterns of modern lifestyles on movement, posture, breath & nervous system

  • Learn practical strategies for working with common injuries

  • Help prevent injurious movement patterns in practice; create safety for both body & nervous system

  •  Apply a clear framework for adapting any asana to any body

  • Liberate alignment & cultivate a deeper relationship to embodied yoga


    Participants may register for the full training or choose to attend either weekend individually.

Certification: 24 hours CEUs for Yoga Aliiance and I-AYT | Optional 30 hour Liberating Alignment Certification (+6 hours independent) through American Yoga Council
