Yin / Restorative Weekend Immersion with Dana Damara

Join Dana Damara at Metta Yoga for Module 1 of her 300-Hour Embodied Yoga Method, an advanced yoga training rooted in embodied practice, philosophy, somatics, subtle body study, leadership, and teaching mastery.

This weekend immersion may be taken as part of the full 300-hour training or as a stand-alone module for those who want to deepen their learning in a specific area of practice.

About This Module

In this module, you’ll explore the key differences between Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga, and how each practice uniquely supports the body, mind, and nervous system.

Through props, intentional stillness, breath awareness, and supported shapes, you’ll learn how deep rest and nervous system regulation can become powerful tools for balance, restoration, and embodied presence.

What You’ll Explore

  • The difference between Yin and Restorative Yoga

  • How each practice supports the nervous system

  • The use of props, stillness, and breath to create support

  • How to guide slower practices with clarity and sensitivity

  • The role of rest, regulation, and spaciousness in modern yoga practice

Why This Module Matters

Yin Yoga invites us into sensation, inquiry, patience, and the deeper layers of the body, while Restorative Yoga creates the conditions for rest, repair, and deep nervous system support.

Together, these practices offer a grounded approach to slowing down, listening inward, and supporting students with greater care, presence, and skill.
