This November, join Monique in Corte Madera for a fun and supportive headstand workshop!
In Yoga, inversions are practiced as a way to cultivate steadiness, concentration, and a different perspective, both physically and internally. Headstand, or Sirsasana, brings all of that together through strength, balance, focus, and body awareness.
It also asks you to work with fear, control, hesitation, and the instinct to pull back when things feel unfamiliar, while building more trust in your body as you learn to be upside down.
In this workshop, you’ll warm up together, build the strength and mobility that support headstand, work through technique and alignment, and have plenty of time to practice.
There will be space to try, fall, reset, ask questions, and try again, with guidance throughout so you can better understand what your body needs and how to keep progressing safely.
Join if you are:
Working toward your first headstand and aren’t quite sure what’s holding you back
Just beginning to explore inversions and want to build a strong foundation
Already practicing headstand and want to refine your alignment
Ready to work on piking up with both legs together
The group will be kept small so you will have time to practice, ask questions, and get individual feedback.
COST: $45 (10% off for Metta Yoga members applies automatically at checkout)
