The Regulated Life: Movement & More for Stress Relief

Join Ashley Stachon in San Rafael for a science-backed, body-first experience to help you release stress, reset your nervous system, and build lasting resilience.

We live in a world that keeps us constantly on edge, notifications, deadlines, and daily demands leave many of us in a near-constant state of overwhelm. You can be doing everything “right”. Eating well, exercising, supporting your hormones, but if your body is living in chronic stress, those efforts can only go so far.

You cannot out-diet or out-supplement stress. Nervous system regulation is the foundation.

Your body is constantly communicating with your brain—through your nervous system, the majority of information actually travels from the body up, not the other way around. This is why a body-first approach is so powerful.

This workshop takes an integrated, whole-person approach, exploring how movement, mindset, nourishment, daily rituals, and sleep work together to shape your stress response. You’ll learn not just what to do, but why your body feels stuck in today’s overstimulating world, and how to work with it instead of against it.

This experiential workshop includes fascia release, somatic practices, slow breath-led yoga, gentle lymphatic activation, guided breathwork, meditation, and a grounding tea ritual to help release stored tension, calm the nervous system, and support integration.

Who This Is For:

  • You feel stuck in chronic stress, even if you’re “doing all the right things”

  • You hold tension in your body (tight hips, shoulders, jaw, fatigue) that you can never quite release

  • You want a body-based approach, not just mindset work

  • You are ready to feel more grounded, calm, and connected

What You’ll Take Away

  • Practical tools to regulate your nervous system in minutes

  • Release of stored tension in muscles and fascia

  • A deeper understanding of how your body processes stress

  • Improved sleep, digestion, and emotional resilience

  • Simple, sustainable daily rituals to support long-term balance and energy

About the instructor:
Ashley is our director of Metta Mama.

Ashley Stachon is passionate about guiding women through the transformative journey from conception through pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. She offers a strong, alignment-based yoga practice that invites women to connect deeply with their bodies while learning to regulate their nervous systems through intentional somatic movement and breath. Her work empowers women with education around the physiological and emotional changes of pregnancy and postpartum, helping them build trust in their bodies and resilience in their minds.

A mother of two, Ashley understands firsthand the importance of community and spaces where women feel supported, seen, and held. She is honored to cultivate that connection as the Director of Metta Mama, where she guides women through matrescence with fertility, prenatal, and postnatal yoga classes, as well as labor support workshops. Her work centers the lived experience of motherhood — holding space for the physical, emotional, and identity shifts that come with conceiving, carrying, and raising children.

Ashley came to yoga in 2004 as a former competitive gymnast, initially drawn to the physical challenge. Over time, she discovered a practice rooted in alignment, presence, and nervous system support. She became a certified yoga teacher in 2012, and her path deepened after becoming pregnant in 2016, leading her to specialize in supporting women through fertility, prenatal, postpartum, and early motherhood.

After navigating her own breast cancer diagnosis at 43 and completing 14 months of treatment, Ashley embodied in a new way how breathwork, mindful movement, and nervous system regulation can support healing on every level. While she had long understood the power of these practices through her prenatal and postnatal work, living through treatment solidified just how essential and transformative this work is — even in its simplicity. This experience strengthened her commitment to serving women not only through fertility, prenatal, and postpartum yoga, but also through oncology yoga and yoga for healing. It also reinforced her dedication to helping others build stress resilience through her coaching and her work with But You Are So Healthy.

Across all of her offerings, Ashley works from the body up. Through somatic practices, breath, and intentional movement, she helps women unwind stored tension, regulate stress responses, and cultivate a felt sense of safety in their bodies. From this foundation, long-held patterns and habitual responses that no longer serve can begin to shift, creating greater ease, clarity, and sustainable change.

“Meet yourself exactly as you are” is the philosophy at the heart of her work.
