Mom Rage Yoga Workshop with Britt Fohrman

  • Metta Yoga San Rafael 851 4th Street San Rafael, CA United States (map)

Join Britt Fohrman at Metta Mama for a somatic yoga and emotional release workshop for mothers who are done pretending they're fine!

Motherhood can be breathtaking. It can also make you feel like you are one more question, one more sticky hand, one more "Maaaamaaaa!" away from snapping.

A lot of mothers are walking around with shoulders up by their ears, a pelvic floor that will not unclench, a nervous system stuck on high alert, and rage that either shows up at the worst possible moment or never shows up at all because it is locked down so tight.

Mom Rage Yoga is a space where that pressure can finally move through your body with guidance, support, and permission to stop holding it all together for a little while.

This is for moms with limits. The ones who are tired of performing calm while carrying a home, a family, a job, and somehow themselves too.

Your anger gets to be honest here. And human. And held.

Rage has a reason

Anger is a normal response to overload, emotional labor, constant responsibility, touch fatigue, overstimulation, and the relentless expectation to stay patient and pleasant no matter what.

When it has nowhere to go, it comes out sideways, as irritability, libido shutdown, snapping at the people you love, numbness, spiraling guilt, or exhaustion that sleep does not fix.

This workshop gives it somewhere to go.

And all emotions are welcome here: rage, grief, fear, disgust, loneliness, all of it. Whatever is alive in you gets to show up.

What you'll experience:

  • Grounding and nervous system resourcing practices to help your body settle and open

  • Somatic yoga and movement for reconnecting to your body, power, and voice

  • Breath, rhythm, music, and sound to help pressure and stuck energy release

  • Guided release practices including shaking, stomping, pushing, vocal expression

  • Deep relaxation and integration so you leave feeling more steady, present, and reconnected to yourself

What you'll walk away with:

You will feel lighter, clearer, and more present. You’ll leave with a better understanding of what your anger is protecting and pointing to, along with simple tools you can use at home to release stress before it builds into an explosion or internal agitation. Most importantly, you’ll leave with more capacity to respond, speak your truth compassionately, and say no without spiraling into guilt afterward.

What to bring:

Yoga mat, layers, anything that helps you feel comfortable. No yoga experience needed. Modifications offered throughout.

You do not need to be more patient.
You need a place to release the weight of the world you so lovingly carry

Cost: $50 per person. (10% off for Metta Yoga members applies automatically at checkout)

About the instructor:

Britt has spent the past 26 years working with moms, as a birth doula, yoga teacher, and somatic coach. She has sat with women in some of their most raw, vulnerable, and powerful moments, helping them find their footing and connect to their own strength.

She is a perimenopausal widowed, solo mom herself, which means she knows this territory from the inside.

Her work now is focused on helping women embrace their full intensity, the messy, the fierce, and the tender. Mom Rage Yoga is an extension of that,  a space where the feelings that don't have anywhere else to go finally get to move.
