Join Kevin Leong for a Special Pre- Valentine’s Day Self-Care Retreat & Myofascial Release, at Metta Corte Madera!

This pre-Valentine’s offering is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your body, and offer yourself the kind of care we so often give to others.

You’ll start with a hands-on self-massage utilizing the unique Roll Model Method Therapy Ball(s) to release tissue adhesions and held tension throughout your body from head to toe resulting in a deeper sense of bodily awareness and lightness.

This 2 1/2 hour class will begin with a tour from feet, glutes, lower back, abdominals towards the Psoas, culminating with an exploration of the shoulders and facial area landmarks unlocking areas often neglected. Afterwards, you’ll segue into a luxurious restorative practice supported by multiple props leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated for the Fall.

This workshop is open to all adults, no prior experience needed. If you're under medical care (i.e.: pregnancy or surgery), consult with your doctor before participating.

Please arrive nourished and hydrated 3 hours prior for focus around the abdominal areas.

All props and therapy balls provided for this event. Please bring your mat!

About Kevin:
Trained as a Fashion Photographer and currently a freelance Lighting Director based in New York City, Kevin first stepped onto the mat in 2010 after a casual invitation from one of his assistants during an assignment. What ensued after that first trial week at YogaWorks NYC has been a liberating and enlightening journey that he hopes to share with others. Encouraged by his teachers to deepen his practice through teacher training, Kevin completed his 500TT @ YogaWorks NYC. His interest in Iyengar and restorative practices lead to teacher trainings in Adaptive Yoga with Jillian Pransky E-RYT/IAYT and later assisting her on multiple teacher trainings. Further training includes: Veteran’s Yoga Project / Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery Level 1, Jill Miller/ The Roll Model Method – the Science of Rolling and other studies.
