Embodied Practice Pop-Up Classes with Gillian Confair

  • Metta Yoga Corte Madera 8 Tamalpais Drive Corte Madera, California, 94925 United States (map)

Join Gillian Confair for two special Friday evening practices exploring functional anatomy, movement, and greater awareness in the body!

These 60-minute classes combine guided movement, props, and subtle alignment shifts to help you better understand your body and support strong, sustainable movement in your yoga practice.

  • Friday, September 18th | 6:30–7:30pm - Embodied Practice: The Shoulder

Explore the shoulder girdle and learn how to better support your body in shoulder openers and backbends. Through dynamic use of props, movement, and alignment shifts, you’ll build greater awareness of your shoulders and how to work with them in your practice.

  • Friday, December 18th | 6:30–7:30pm - Embodied Practice: The Hip

Explore the anatomy and movement of the hips and learn how to better support your body in hip openers and more complex transitions. Using props, movement, and alignment shifts, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of your hips and how to move with greater strength and ease.

Students of all levels and abilities are welcome. Arrive with questions and leave with a deeper understanding of your own body and how to support it in your day-to-day practice.

These practices are presented in conjunction with the upcoming Embodied Practice 300-Hour Teacher Training, beginning January 2027. Gillian teaches Holistic Anatomy as part of the training, which inspired these special classes.
