CLASS OFFERINGS

 Metta Yoga offers energized and soulful flow classes rooted in the tradition of Vinyasa Yoga.  Our classes incorporate a dynamic sequence of poses and breath work, and may include yoga philosophy, chanting, and harmonium to strengthen the body, open the heart and quiet the mind.  Our classes are gently heated in the mornings and evenings—or gently air conditioned on hot afternoons—and paired with music.


Steady Flow.

Vibrant and juicy.  A steady-paced class for students of all levels.  This class includes a breath-synchronized series of poses that dances between smoothly flowing poses and longer-held poses.  Modifications will be offered for beginners and advanced students looking to challenge their practice.  


Fiery Flow. 

Sweaty and electric.  A faster-paced class for students of all levels.  This class focuses on consistent movement from pose to pose, linking one breath to one movement.  Modifications will be offered for beginners and advanced students looking to challenge their practice.


FIERY FLOW - LEVEL 2-3.

Sweaty and electric.  A faster-paced class for students of all levels.  This class focuses on consistent movement from pose to pose, linking one breath to one movement.  Advanced variations including binds, arm balances, backbends, and inversions will be offered for students looking to challenge their practice.


FIERY + YIN.

Sweaty and electric hour, ending in a renewing yin series, perfect to fire up and then wind down for the night.  The fiery portion of class focuses on consistent movement from pose to pose, linking one breath to one movement.  The yin portion of class consists of longer-held, restorative floor poses that open the energy channels of the body and prepare the body for rest.


candlElight Flow.

Nourishing and deep.  A steady-paced class for students of all levels in a candlelit room.  This class includes a breath-synchronized series of poses that dances between smoothly flowing poses and longer-held poses. Leave with your mind, body and soul replenished before heading into your week.  


SUNDAY soul revival Flow.

Strong and dynamic.  Gather at Metta on Sunday mornings for a soulful and inspiring flow. This is an energizing and balanced class for students of all levels.  The class is a blend of consistently-moving, one breath per movement sequences, as well as longer-held poses. Variations of postures are offered to satisfy both new and seasoned practitioners.


Happy Hour Flow.

Come together and unwind at the end of the week with a fun, uplifting, rejuvenating flow.

REstorative + yoga nidra.

Unwind, Relax, Restore.  As a perfect compliment to your vinyasa practice, this class is a combination of deep Restorative and Yoga Nidra.  Yoga Nidra, literally meaning "yogic sleep," is a restorative practice that guides the body into a state of consciouness between sleep and wake.  Shed stagnant energy and take in the warmth and nourishment of deep relaxation.  Leave class feeling completely renewed!


MONTHLY OFFERINGS

Vinyasa basics.

Moving at a slow, steady pace, we will cover the foundational asanas (poses) that will support you in most vinyasa yoga classes. With a focus on proper alignment and body awareness, we'll keep you safe while you grow your practice. This class runs on the first Saturday of each month from 12-1pm.


intro to yoga for stiff guys.

If you're curious about yoga and it's myriad benefits, but feel stiff, tight, and un-bendy, this class if for you. Join us as we address issues specific to men, in a room full of men. This class runs on the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 7:10-8:10am (skipping 2/24 during ski week).
